People are funny - you will realize it! Also, most metal is “underground” which means the majority of people don’t understand; find comfort in the fact that you “get” something that they don’t.

I hate when people look at me like I’m some kind of freak when I tell them what kind of music I like. Seriously, this world has got a terrible idea of what rock(including metal, death metal, etc.) is. Honestly, it’s not all satanic. It’s not all a bunch of random screaming and banging on instruments. Yes, there are lyrics. And really, this genre takes a lot of skill. Don’t believe me? You try it.
